I began developing my own organizational and study skills during my own
educational career. I graduated from Towson University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s
degree in Biology. While completing my education I worked at NeuroBehavioral
Associates in Columbia, MD and learned about the comprehensive testing to
diagnose learning differences. After completing my degree I began teaching at Friendship School in Eldersburg, MD, a school that specializes in children with learning differences. There I witnessed the organizational and study skills problems of children with AD/HD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Executive Dysfunction. While teaching at Friendship School I worked closely with speech pathologists and other teachers to develop a study skills program for various age groups. For the past few years I have implemented the program into my classroom and have seen a remarkable improvement in my students. I have also spearheaded the campaign to have the study skills program implemented into the other academic areas at the school.

Study skills are not inherent, they are taught.
